You’re about to graduate. You made it. The day finally arrives. The graduation march plays and your class files in. The last few weeks have been full of senior events, cleaning out your locker, and rehearsing for the capstone of your educational career. Thirteen years in the making.

You file in and sit in your respective seat. You listen to your fellow classmates give speeches about the good times and the hope you all possess for your futures. All the while, you think to yourself, “I can’t believe I’m at my high school graduation. I’ve prepared for this for years, and I’m finally here.”

The JOY of Easter: Why Today Should be the Most Exciting Day of the Year!

Have you ever been in a situation that seemed hopeless and then found out something good and you were filled with uncontainable joy? Maybe a parent had cancer and the doctor told you they were finally cancer free. Maybe you thought you’d never get into the college you really wanted and you received and acceptance letter instead of rejection.

In any case, moments like these make us want to run the streets telling everyone about what happened; the joy just wants to burst out of us!

This is EXACTLY how EVERY Christian should feel on Easter Sunday. In today’s vlog, I discuss the joy of Jesus’ resurrection and list many of the promises we have in his resurrection. Watch, share, and be filled with joy!

VLOG: The [almost] Hopelessness of Good Friday

“This situation is hopeless,” Jeanie thought to herself. Her parents were on the brink of divorce and it was affecting many other areas of her life. Where was God in this situation? “Where are you God?” she thought to herself.

Have you ever felt hopeless?

Whether you have in the past or do right now, this message is designed to help you see that God NEVER leaves us completely hopeless. He is the hope giver.

Today’s vlog centers around “Good Friday”; the day Jesus died on a cross for our sins. Imagine how hopeless some his followers must have felt when he was tried and crucified. They thought he was going to save them from the Romans. Think of how his disciples must have felt! They had given up everything to follow him for three years, how could be be DYING?

Even with Jesus’ death, God did not leave the people without a glimmer of hope. Watch the video below to learn about the hope and be encouraged!

VLOG: Three Thoughts that Make it Easy to Justify Sin

Jessica couldn’t help but overhear the group next to her talking about their weekend; the party, the fun, the alcohol, the boys. Thoughts raced through her mind, “It can’t be that bad, can it?”

Thoughts like that make it easier to justify sin, or to convince yourself that it’s really “not that bad.” In today’s vlog, I discuss three more of these thoughts and explain why they’re basically lies and what to think instead.

VLOG: The Difference Between Conviction and Condemnation

Consider the difference between the following scenarios:

You disobeyed your parents, or betray a friend, and you desperately wanted to confess it because you didn’t want your relationships to suffer.

You hurt a friend or parent, feel terrible about it, and try to deal with your guilt by distancing yourself from them.

In scenario one, the person feel sorry for what he/she has done and wants to make it right. In scenario two, the person feels guilty as well, but attempts to block out the people hurt.
