Have you ever harbored unforgiveness against someone? Did you think it was no big deal? Are you currently withholding forgiveness from someone?
Unfortunately, as a teenager, I held on to my bitterness and refused to forgive two people who I thought wronged me. Through this process I went through as a teen, I truly learned WHY forgiveness is important and what unforgiveness can do to a person.

“Why shouldn’t I do this?”
“Because the Bible says so.”
If you grew up in a Christian home, “because the Bible says so,” is a popular answer to many questions dealing with morality and learning right from wrong. As a child, this answer may suffice, but as one progresses into adolescence, deeper answers will be needed.
We know that the Bible says that sex is for marriage only, however, living in a culture that is obsessed with sex, makes this notion seem utterly archaic. How could someone in our culture ever achieve saving sex for marriage?

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want…” Sound familiar?
Psalm 23 is likely one of the most recognizable chapters in the Bible. We learn it in Sunday School, see it in funeral programs, and notice it on church décor. Even those who do not attend church have likely heard this psalm a few times during their life.
When verses and chapters become familiar to us, we tend to not pay as close of attention to them. When we see it in our Bibles, it can be tempting to think, “Oh, I know what this says already. Why read it again?”
Here’s why: because the Bible is a “living document.” In 2 Timothy 16-17, Paul writes, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The word of God always has something new to glean and learn, even if it’s from a familiar passage.

I was 15 when I was told I might have cancer. That I might never be able to have kids. That I might have to have all of my “female parts” removed to avert a crisis. Fifteen.
How do you face a prognosis like this at that age? Why would God have a young person face this? What did they mean I may never have kids? Like never ever? Questions like these filled my mind.
So what do you do? What is the first thing to do when you receive “earth shattering” news?
Tell your friends? Family? Church? Drive around and cry? Plead? Beg?
